In 2015, my team at Parade met the founder of TaxChat, a solo entrepreneur with a vision, funding but no team. His goal: enable users to file their taxes with a professional right through a smart phone. In five short months we developed branding—from strategy and identity to icon sets—and product design for both the mobile consumer application and the tax professional administrative web app. After its first year in market, the product was acquired by accounting giant EY in 2016.
